We had initially employed Beech Building Services to build a garage within the grounds of our property up to the first phase fixings, with the roofing work to be completed by a separate company.
The exterior of the garage had to be built to compliment the main home, which was a converted barn. This meant that specialist bricks and roofing tiles needed to be sourced and the brickwork needed to match the same layout as the barn’s original structure.
The materials required to complete the project were quite specific and had to be specially ordered which did incur a number of delays. However, the team at Beech Building Services were able to work around these delays and complete other aspects of the build whilst waiting for the materials to arrive.
As the build continued we were let down by the roofing company when they were due to start, so we were fortunate enough that John and the team were able to delay their next project and help us out to finish the roof.
The completed garage is terrific and has been finished to the highest standards. We are already in discussions with the team at BBS for our next project.
We love our new single-storey extension as the space has made a huge difference to our house and makes for a great social space. Originally we had a leaky conservatory that could only be utilised in the summer months, so we wanted to create an area that we could use all year round.
